Discover the Latest Pello Updates

We are excited to announce the release of Pello™ Firmware Version 2.5, packed with enhancements to deliver a more efficient and versatile audiometry experience. With improvements to hardware, software, and testing capabilities, the Pello continues to provide reliable diagnostic solutions while expanding its functionality. Here’s a closer look at what’s new.

CAN YOU TELL US HOW THE HARDWARE HAS BEEN ENHANCED?

Tony Lombardo: The Pello Firmware Version 2.5 introduces new hardware features designed to optimize your workflow. Compared to Version 1, the updated Pello now has a faster start up time, allowing you to begin your work quickly and experience smoother transitions during testing. Additionally, the revamped screen enhances visibility and usability during operations, making the process more effective and user-friendly.

WHAT ARE THE GSI PELLO SOFTWARE UPDATES?

Tony Lombardo: With the latest software configuration application, customization is now easier than ever. You can set custom defaults to tailor your testing process, including configuring word list favorites and starting ear preferences. The enhanced navigation ensures a more streamlined interface, making test setup and execution more intuitive.

HOW HAVE THE TESTING CAPABILITIES BEEN IMPROVED WITH THIS UPDATE?

Tony Lombardo: The Pello remains a dependable 1.5 channel audiometer, ideal for limited diagnostic testing. However, with additional licenses like Speech Plus and Special Test, you can now go beyond standard air, bone, and speech testing. The new tests and features include:

  • Weber Test: The Weber Test assesses conductive components to hearing loss with a bone oscillator.
  • ACT™ Test: The ACT offers a quick 2-minute test to accurately estimate a person’s real-world ability to understand speech in noisy environments.

HOW WILL THESE UPDATES BENEFITTED USERS?

Tony Lombardo: New features make the Pello even more accessible. Shortcut keys now allow for quick entry of symbols for unspecified bone and vibrotactile responses, simplifying documentation. Enhancements such as relocating the dB step size adjustment to the Tone Test Type menu improves accessibility, further optimizing your workflow.

ARE THERE ADDITIONAL RESOURCES TO SUPPORT THE UPDATE?

Tony Lombardo: To help you make the most of these updates, we’ve added new quick guides to our website. Whether you’re looking for setup tips or a deeper dive into the new features, our resources have you covered.
